Bloomington middle schools compete in Civics Bee

Seventh grade students from the district’s three middle schools competed in the Bloomington Civics Bee Jan. 16 at Civic Plaza. The event was co-hosted by the League of Women Voters and ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. 

The top three finishers were Grace Lilla, Oak Grove; Megan Van-Cao, Olson; and Kendall Friesen-Wenger, Valley View. Eleven students competed in the event.

To qualify for the final event, all BPS seventh grade students took a qualifying exam. High scoring students were invited to participate in a Civics Bee at their respective middle school. The four finalists from each middle school were invited to the city-wide Civics Bee.
