Bloomington robotics team earns blue ribbon at State Fair
Kennedy and Jefferson high school students from robotics Team BJORG earned top awards and engaged audiences in STEM learning at the Minnesota State Fair. Their FIRST Robotics Competition robot, “One in a Krillion” was showcased all ten days of the fair and received first place for mechanical design and the overall Sweepstakes for Mechanical and Electrical Design award.
The awards are part of the Technology Education category, which also included a second place Individual Project award for Oak Grove Middle School sixth grader Sumiko Westcott.
Throughout the State Fair, high school students from Team BJORG gave live robot presentations and demos, hands-on driving experiences, created a technical poster display, and paraded their robot through the streets.
