Bloomington students earn national art awards

National Scholastic Art Awards

Kennedy High School senior Nicole Osness and Jefferson High School junior Joey Stedman have earned National Gold Medals in the 2021 National Scholastic Art Competition. 

Osness's photo  (above, left) and Stedman's photo  (above, right) will be recognized at a national ceremony in June and will be part of a year-long, rotating exhibition in Washington, DC. 

Students qualify for the National Scholastic Art Competition by earning a Gold Key at the regional level. This year, nearly 230,000 works were entered into the National Scholastic Art Competition by students from every state in the country. Learn more at .
