Bloomington students earn Scholastic Art awards and honors
Jefferson and Kennedy high school students earned 41 honors in the 2026 Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards competition, which is part of the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious art recognition program for creative teens.
This year’s Gold Key award recipients are Jefferson’s Isabella Berkes, Gabriele Bisbini, Vivian Krhin, Maggie Morrow, Avery Rich, Savannah Sewall, and Kennedy’s Sabrin Abdi.
Silver Key award recipients are Jefferson’s Juliana Arias, Berkes, Katrina Fairweather, Claire Kraynick, Marie LeBlanc, Sam Ruschoff, Luke Schultz, Sewall and Kennedy’s Dash Laaksonen, Ty Malczewski and Ana Splatt.
Honorable mention recognition went to Jefferson’s Madelyn Anderson, Berkes, Dillon Gotler, Eva Hill-Jacobson, Taylor Keith, Addison Krieg, Allegra Kuhn, Gwenyth Meenk, Sewall, and Kennedy’s Alex Goodman, Arelys Lemus, Allie Sheehan and Splatt.
The Gold Key award is given to students who display exceptional creativity, skill and vision. Silver Key honorees demonstrate exceptional ability. Honorable mentions are presented to artists whose work showed great skill and potential. Bloomington’s award-winning pieces include paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, ceramics, and digital art.
