Valley View Elementary equity specialist Ana T. Molina is the recipient of an Inclusive Educator Award for her work to support the inclusion of unique learners. The award is given by Intermediate School District 917, which provides specialized programming to member districts, including ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.

Mrs. Molina was nominated and recognized for removing barriers, building trust with families, and ensuring every student has equitable access to education services and supports. Mrs. Molina is known for her compassion, patience, creative solutions, clear communication, and her commitment to stay with a situation until the student has what they need, no matter how complicated the process is. She is credited for making a difference in the lives of countless students and families.

The Inclusive Educator award was created to coincide with Inclusive Schools Week, celebrated in December, highlighting and celebrating the progress schools make to create inclusive practices for an increasingly diverse student population. While the award is typically presented in December, Mrs. Molina chose to wait until late April to receive it so she could remain available to help families during the height of Operation Metro Surge.
