Several school upgrades and maintenance projects are scheduled this summer that may limit or impact access to schools. These include:

• Early Learning at Washburn: Expanding the parking lot and bus drop-off area to add parking space and relieve traffic during pick-up and drop-offs.
• Olson Elementary and Middle: Renovations continue with an expected completion in Fall 2028.
• Jefferson High School: Mechanical updates including adding dehumidification to the main gymnasium.
• Kennedy High School: Renovations including new cafeteria windows, sealing the parking lot, and updates to the school courtyard to allow better access via the main entrance. Local volunteers helped with the landscaping of the courtyard.
• District-wide: Installation of new security cameras, access control and building security system improvements.
