2025-2026 Camp Husky Registration for Incoming 6th graders

Dear Families of Incoming 2025-2026 6th Graders, Congratulations to you and your 5th grade student on finishing out the school year at their respective elementary schools.  We are very excited to welcome your student to Oak Grove Middle School (OGM) in the fall for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are offering our annual OGM Camp Husky - 6th Grade Orientation on Thursday, Aug. 21 and Friday, Aug. 22 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. This is a one-day event with the option to sign up for either day.

If you have already signed up for Camp Husky, we have your student's information and you are all set for your student's day at Camp Husky and don't need to do anything further.

If you have not yet signed your student up for Camp Husky, there is still time to do so. 

While at Camp Husky, your student will:   

  • Have an opportunity to mingle with other incoming 6th graders
  • Go over their daily schedules, learn to navigate the school and find their classes
  • Find their locker and practice opening it by using their lock combination
  • Learn about their new teachers, administrators, counselors and support staff
  • Learn about behavior expectations at OGM
  • Have an opportunity to ask questions about being a middle schooler
  • Play games, take a tour, go on a scavenger hunt and more

Every student who attends will receive a Husky Pride T-Shirt, a healthy snack (tree nut-free) and a bottle of water.

The cost to attend Camp Husky is $20. This fee pays for the spirit wear t-shirt, healthy snack and other supplies associated with Camp Husky. Payment can be made in one of three ways:

  1. Mail a check (made payable to ISD 271) to OGM at 1300 W. 106th St. Bloomington, MN, 55431.  Please put Camp Husky and your student's name in the memo area of the check.
  2. Drop off a check or cash to the OGM Main Office (Door 1) Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  3. Bring Cash or Check (made payable to: ISD 271) to your Camp Husky Session in August.
  4. Pay via credit card through Infinite Campus under 'Student Fees'. Please note that a credit card processing fee will apply.

We will send a reminder email out about a week prior to your student's chosen day at Camp Husky.
